Help for using Lockster:





Enable Application

Enable Application:
This button will enable the functionality of the application.  Once you click on the button it will ask for authorization. Click on Activate to authorize the application. 
After the application is enabled the Set Lock Time and Set Lock Timer buttons are enabled.









Set Time to Lock

This button is used to set the time when the device should lock.  When you click on this button a popup will show up and you can select the time to lock the device. Then click Set to set the time. 

Note: The Lockster locking functionality is activated only after Set Lock button is pressed on the main screen.

Set Lock TimeThis button is used to set the timer when the device should lock.  When you click on this button a popup will show up and you can select the timer (Hours and Minutes) to lock the device. . Then click Set to set the timer.  

Note: The Lockster locking functionality is activated only after Set Lock button is pressed on the main screen. 








Set Lock


Set Lock:  After you have either set time OR set timer to lock the device; this button is enabled. Once this button is clicked the lock functionality is activated. The device will lock after the time/timer set has passed.








Settings:


Settings to go to the settings page you will have to click on device Menu or Settings button then it will show the Settings and Help Menu.  Click on Settings to configure settings.

 Enable SMS Locking: This feature will allow Lockster to lock your device when a pre-configured lock code is received by the device.



 SMS Lock Code: This is the lock code when recieved by the device, Lockster will lock the device. To configure the lock code click on it, then type the lock code. The lock code is character case insensitive. Type the code then click OK to set it.


Now the the phone is configure to be locked by sending SMS to it. 




Password Lock Settings:


Following Settings makes Lockster app really cool and more usable with Kids!


Use following settings for following cases Only:


I) You don’t have a device password and you want to set a password only in Lockster so your phone is password protected only when your phone is locked by Lockster.  In this case you need to set Lockster Password only.


And when


II) You already have a device password but you want to use a different password (Lockster password) only for Lockster app. In this case you need to set both Lockster Password and Device Password.

Enable Password Lock: If this setting is enabled then the device will be password protected after the device is locked by Lockster.  When you enable this setting it will ask for authorization, click Activate to authorize it.

Lockster Password along with Device Password Setting can be used effectively to get the device back from Kid.

Lockster Password: Password required for unlocking the device when locked by Lockster. If the setting Enable Password Lock setting is enabled, and your device is locked by Lockster, your device can be unlocked only by this password. To set it, click on Lockster Password then type the password and confirm it.  This password is case sensitive.  






Usage: Imagine that your kid knows the device password you use regularly.  You now want to give this device to the kid but just for 30 mins.  You have previously configured the Lockster Password; then just open Lockster set the time you want the device to lock, then give the device to the kid. After the time is passed the device will be lock by Lockster and can be unlocked only by Lockster password.

Device Password: This setting should be used only when you already have a device password but you want to use a different password (Lockster password) only for Lockster app.  Device password will be used to unlock the device when it is not locked by Lockster (e.g when locked due to inactivity). This password is case sensitive.


Note:If you want a password lock on the device only when dealing with Kids you should consider using Lockster Password only.

Usage:  Imagin that the device is locked due to inactivity, then the Device Password configured in this setting will be needed to unlock the phone.  In this case Lockster password will not be required to unlock the device.
